I am a Mrs!!
Jason and I did it! On Saturday we got married… we are loving it. Granted we have only been married for all of four days, but so far it is great! We had a great ceremony and it was great to see family and friends that we hadn’t seen in a long time. The photographer called yesterday to say that he should have our photos to us by the end of the week, I can’t wait to see how they all turned out.
On the home front; we were able to purchase a lovely dining room table for the house at a great clearance price. It was just what we were looking for and it is great to be able to sit and eat dinner in the dining room without worrying about your food flying off the said table if you put your elbows in the wrong spot of the table.
I started knitting some baby socks yesterday, a few of the wives at work are expecting. I may have been a little hasty with checking my gauge, as they look VERY small. I asked the husband what he thought and he agreed that they were looking a little on the tiny size. I will continue making them and see what happens, they are the first sock in the New Pathway for Sock Knitters by Cat Bordhi. It is an interesting pattern so far and I was able to knit the first half while half watching Monday night football. (This could be part of my problem come to think of it..note to self)

Poor to-be and my family
My soon to be husband came home from a long day at work with a fresh dinner from McDonald’s (yuck! he needs to stop eating there) hoping to sit in front of his TV and eat uninterrupted. Sadly, he came in the door and found my whole family sitting in the living room. My mom in his chair, my youngest sister and her boyfriend playing his XBOX 360, my middle sister and her boyfriend doing homework in the middle of the living room and myself sitting on the couch knitting his socks. We were all laughing and trying to get a word in while the others where talking, like we do when we all get together. I truly think that we overwhelm my husband to be with our silliness. Because there are three girls in my family and three boys in his we have a slightly different dynamic in our families. It seems that my sisters, mom and I have grown much closer as we all have gotten older. This is very nice for us, but I think that Jason just sits in awe of us. He never says much, he swears it is because he can’t get a word in while the four of us are constantly talking.
Wedding plans are chugging along and while it seems that the days are flying by, at times it feels like it isn’t getting here fast enough. Which really doesn’t make sense in my mind, time is linear and can’t move at two separate speeds. So, why am I so messed up? Very good question. Stress may have a little something to do with it. Just maybe.

5..4..3..2..1..Showtime!
The days are ticking by so fast! We are in the final countdown, the end is in sight, all the cards are on the table…and all of those fun sayings. I am trying to get all of my homework done so that I can have Thursday and Friday off before the wedding. Which, means that I should be writing a paper about the This American Life episode that I have just finished listening to, but there are some things that need some encouraging.
Jason’s sock is coming along quite nicely. I have started on the heel flap and have a few rows completed. He is working with the dogs every night, they are getting better and are glad that he is home full time now. I guess that I am also glad that he home, there is someone to do the dishes now.

yay for Friday!
Yes it is true, the rumors that have been swirling around. Friday is here! No school for two complete days! Ok well that is not entirely true, there is no class for two days there is still homework and reading to complete. And possibly a little bit of knitting for Jason’s sock. He tried the 2 inches of the cuff on that I have completed, and it fit! (as much as a small amount of cuff can fit).
Wedding plans are coming along, we have a cake now. Which is a small little detail that managed to slip my mind until Tuesday. Yes, that means that I waited until 11 days before the wedding to order the cake. Not the smartest thing that I have done in planning this wedding, but at least I remembered before the actual day before. I do have nightmares that I will get the wedding and have forgotten some major detail. But, to help deter this I have wonderful women all around me that are checking that I have gotten everything. Four heads have to be better than one of mine that is filled with swirling information about not only the wedding but sociology, the human anatomy, nutrition, and chemistry as well as which school I would like to be attending in the next year.

10 days and counting….am I supposed to be able to breathe?
So there are approx 10 days until Jason and I stand in front of our families, friends and god to promise that we will love one another for ever and always. The crazy part about my anxiety is that it is not about the commitment, but the planning of the wedding itself. Which causes me to think, am I doing something wrong? I mean this is supposed to be one of the best days of my life, and all I can think about is if we are going to have enough wine glasses for everyone. Enough cake? So, I have decided that I have done all that I can do. For the next 10 days I am going to have a good time and hope that everyone else has the same state of mind.
