Aiden’s Sweater
One of my best friends decided to go have one of the cutest babies I have seen! Well, technically I haven’t seen him in person since he and his parents live on the other side of the pond but I have seen pictures of the cute guy. So I am knitting a little gray sweater for the little guy so he can be warm when the fall comes around in England. I found this pattern on Ravelry, it is going well. I am almost finished with the main body part and getting ready to start the edging on the front. I am excited to get it over to him. The yarn is Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran and I am knitting it on Addi Turbos.

4 days
In 4 days I will be able to have a clean kitchen, food left in the frig when I get home from work, my house will not smell like certain herbs and there will be no rodents running around. I will be moving and I am looking forward to it so very much. I will no longer have a view of the mountian but I will have a view of a nice stream and no sound of I-5 out my kitchen window. This is good, so very good.
I am also feeling that I have a purpose at work, something that is mine and that I am working on. This new project will be mine and I am super excited at the possibilities that could come from this. So, in all this has been a good week even if the sun went away and we have the threat of rain again. Things are looking up!

I might have a problem…
As I was leaving the office this evening I looked back at my desk and realized I might have a slight Post-It addiction. But they keep me on track and this system seems to be working for me.

Fun in Walla Walla
Jennilyn and I went to Walla Walla to visit the family for not a very fun reason. Our littlest sister was in a car accident and we went to spend some time with her so we could make sure that she was alright. She was just fine, a few bruises but other than that good to go. As it usually is when all three of us sister get together there was much silliness. Mom was looking for a new bed frame for the new house that they have bought and are fixing up, so all four of us were at the furniture store. Even though we are all adults (25, 23 and 18) we seem to revert to 5 years old when we are together. Here is Jennilyn at the furniture store, in a small soccer chair.

Raised Vegtable Garden …in progress
Now all that I need is some soil and some plants but that will have to wait until next week when I get home. I am also thinking that I will need to have some sort of irrigation system that waters automatically as sometimes I forget or am not home. Also a very good friend came over to help with the outdoor faucets at the end of the season last year they were leaking so Chad replaced them with PVC faucets and now I can water both the front and the back yard at the same time! And do laundry at the same time. I guess that these are the simple pleasures in live in eastern Washington, hopefully this week I can get some knitting done this week while I am holed up in a hotel room in the big.

My boys
On my first Saturday of Winter Break I have been having a great relaxing time. I can literally feel the stress leaving my shoulders. I have also been having a great time with my husband and puppies. I can always count on them for a good laugh, so I thought that I would share their antics from this morning.
First the puppies; they have been chasing this squirrel around the backyard and have on numerous times cornered the squirrel in some part of the yard. But, the squirrel always finds a way to get away. Mostly in the tree or on the top of the fence. But here is a picture of Hunter trying his hardest to get to that squirrel, Mac was also there when I first looked but when I got the camera he ran to door.
The husband has been growing a beard for the last couple of weeks and chose to shave it off this morning. He started before I got a picture of the whole beard. But when I saw what he had done while using the trimmers I was literally on the floor laughing. His facial hair grows in blond in some places so it is hard to see in this picture, but he had made a long handle bar mustache. He also has bed head going on…this is why I love this man.

Scary stuff
On Saturday evening my mom and littlest sister were driving home from Walla Walla. The roads were icy and someone had stopped in the road and not pulled completely off the road. My mom had to swerve around them and hit some black ice, they spun around on the highway and went off of the road where they ended up rolling the truck twice. They survived with no major injuries, only a few bruises. They were very lucky and I am so glad that they are both alright. Sadly, they did lose their youngest dog who got out onto the highway after the accident. We are all grieving the loss but also very grateful that my mom and sister are alright.
On a better note, Jason and I got the dining room painted and ready for the new floor this weekend. We enjoyed having a three day weekend to work together and got some major home projects done. It was very nice to have someone to talk to while I was painting, and we worked much better together than we have in the past.
Our older dog has started to bring his blanket out from his crate to sleep in the living room. I thought that it was pretty cute and had to share.

5..4..3..2..1..Showtime!
The days are ticking by so fast! We are in the final countdown, the end is in sight, all the cards are on the table…and all of those fun sayings. I am trying to get all of my homework done so that I can have Thursday and Friday off before the wedding. Which, means that I should be writing a paper about the This American Life episode that I have just finished listening to, but there are some things that need some encouraging.
Jason’s sock is coming along quite nicely. I have started on the heel flap and have a few rows completed. He is working with the dogs every night, they are getting better and are glad that he is home full time now. I guess that I am also glad that he home, there is someone to do the dishes now.

yay for Friday!
![]()
Yes it is true, the rumors that have been swirling around. Friday is here! No school for two complete days! Ok well that is not entirely true, there is no class for two days there is still homework and reading to complete. And possibly a little bit of knitting for Jason’s sock. He tried the 2 inches of the cuff on that I have completed, and it fit! (as much as a small amount of cuff can fit).
Wedding plans are coming along, we have a cake now. Which is a small little detail that managed to slip my mind until Tuesday. Yes, that means that I waited until 11 days before the wedding to order the cake. Not the smartest thing that I have done in planning this wedding, but at least I remembered before the actual day before. I do have nightmares that I will get the wedding and have forgotten some major detail. But, to help deter this I have wonderful women all around me that are checking that I have gotten everything. Four heads have to be better than one of mine that is filled with swirling information about not only the wedding but sociology, the human anatomy, nutrition, and chemistry as well as which school I would like to be attending in the next year.
