In two days all of our snow melted and caused some muddy areas. The poor horses next door get to be in a mud field for a few days.
But look how green the grass is…crazy!
There has been knitting going on in the craziness that I call my life. Amongst all the moving, filing papers, crying, drinking wine and being around great friends I have managed to finish a couple projects and get well on my way on a few others.
First there was the Thermal Sweater from Knitty, this project was going along great and I was loving the way that they yarn was working with the pattern. Sadly, it was attacked by my friends year old golden retriever and it did not survive. There was a large hole that I consulted with numerous knitters on, it was decided that the location and extent of the damage was fatal. I am on the fence as to if I am going to cast on this same project again with this yarn.
(before and after the attack)
Secondly I have finished two Acorn Hats for two of the children at the office. These were a quick knit and the pattern (by Cari Luna) was great! I used Cascade 220 Superwash and size 7 Addi Turbo Needles.
Modeled by one of the recipients.
The final project that I am working on is a splurge for myself. I was atKnitty Gritty in Tri-Cities and fell in love with this 100% silk yarn by Blue Ridge Yarns. In the Holiday edition of Interweave Knits there was a pattern for a scarf that called for a silk yarn. So here is my Hourglass Eyelet Scarf. It is also being knit on size 7 Addi Turbos.
(I couldn’t resist trying it on while still in progress)
